Another narrow victory for Sabrecats cricket

SALT LAKE CITY — For the second straight match, the Salt Lake Sabrecats topped South Valley by just a single run, 176-175.
The match, played on Sunday at 11th Avenue Park, will be the last match for at least a month as the teams are taking a break for the Muslim month-long holiday Ramadan.
The Sabrecats won the toss and batted first, scoring 176 runs in the Twenty20 match. Raza scored 40 runs, not out; Kamran 41, run out; Azhar Khan 37 runs not out; Maxwell Atkinson 21 runs. Defensively Khan made two great catches while Atkinson took three wickets.
From south valley, Rahid Karim was the highest scorer as he managed to score 76 runs not out.
“He almost single handed won the match for south valley,” said Salt Lake captain Nasir Khan.
Asad Zia added 28 runs for South Valley.
