New Utah racing body NASA holding first public meeting

TOOELE VALLEY — One of the big preseason stories at Miller Motorsports Park is the exciting launch of the Utah Region of the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), which will oversee all amateur sports car racing and automobile open track days in the future.
Interested parties can learn more about the NASA Utah Region at a public meeting scheduled for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Megaplex Theaters at Jordon Commons in Sandy.

The evening will include a brief discussion about the new NASA Utah Region and the upcoming race season, followed by a Q&A session. The night will culminate with a free screening of the film “Senna,” a critically acclaimed documentary feature that examines the life and career of the legendary Brazilian Formula 1 driver who was killed while racing in 1994.
The event is free to attend, but seating will be limited. Interested attendees are asked to RSVP here.
The 2012 season for the NASA Utah Region gets underway on March 31, with a non-points, three-hour Spring Enduro.
