Utes name Haloti Liava interim head coach

The University of Utah’s rugby team has named Haloti Liava’a has its interim head coach for the 2014 season. Haloti played football and rugby for the Utes in the 1980’s and has been a coach for the Highland RFC as well as an assistant coach at the University of Utah. Jon Law, an experienced coach who worked with the Utah Warriors of the Men’s Super League before that side folded, will be an assistant coach.

According to Danny Christensen, the Ute ruggers have begun conditioning. Mark Drown, the team’s director of rugby, has been working hard to solidify a schedule.
